In-home lactation consultations offered in Boston metro, Metrowest & Worcester areas
I am in-network with Aetna, Cigna and VA CCN plans and co-payment is due at the time of the appointment. For out of network plans, payment is due at the visit. I will provide you with a superbill for insurance reimbursement. Most major insurance carriers in Massachusetts reimburse families for lactation support. I encourage you to reach out to your insurance company regarding benefits.
Prenatal Care
IN-HOME VISIT: $200 for 60 minutes
Congratulations on your pregnancy! As you prepare for this exciting journey, I'm here to support you with your breastfeeding goals. Together, we'll review your health history and focus on essential aspects like positioning, latch, suck, and swallow to ensure a smooth breastfeeding experience for both you and your baby. I'll also provide guidance on how to tell if your baby is getting enough milk. Additionally, we can explore available products that can make feeding and caring for your baby easier.
Initial Feeding Consultation
IN-HOME VISIT: $300 for 90 -120 minutes
VIRTUAL VISIT: $250 for 90-120 minutes
Assess mom’s health history and examine her breasts for lactation readiness.
Address mom’s breastfeeding, pumping, and bottle feeding concerns and queries.
Gather infant health history, conduct oral examination, and focus on optimizing latch, suck, and swallow.
Measure pre and post feeding weights to monitor baby's intake.
Explore and demonstrate effective breastfeeding positions suitable for both mom and baby, observing a feeding session.
Introduce relaxation techniques to ease mom’s breastfeeding or pumping experience.
Provide guidance on pump setup, operation, and milk storage to ensure efficient milk transfer.
Develop a personalized lactation care plan tailored to your specific needs.
Follow-Up Visit
IN-HOME VISIT: $200 for 60 minutes
VIRTUAL VISIT: $200 for 60 minute
Evaluate breastfeeding progress and milk transfer, adjusting the care plan as needed.
Measure pre- and post-feeding weights to determine appropriate weight gain.
Observe a feeding session (breast or bottle) and make any new recommendations.
Communicate any feeding issues to your provider and or make referrals accordingly.
